Products & Solutions :: First Responders Systems and Technology

The RespondWare Mobile base unit is a stand alone application with GIS mapping, navigation and routing. You can then customize your RespondWare with whichever Optional Modules you need. Below is a list of Optional Modules and the basic features of each. As your operations grow, RespondWare can grow with you.

Navigate.
RespondWare uses state-of-the-art on-board GIS navigation systems and the most complete up-to-date mapping in the industry. RespondWare can also accommodate your municipality's custom map files and data files in standard GIS formats. Using GPS, RespondWare Mobile knows exactly where you are and immediately routes you to your call using the shortest distance to the incident. If you encounter bad traffic or prefer a different route, RespondWare will immediately update your location and will calculate a new route to incident on-the -fly. As you approach the incident, RespondWare begins to zoom in on the map automatically giving you more detailed intel on the incident site.

Land Parcel.
The Land Parcel Module provides information on plots of land within a certain area. This module assists in identifying the exact location of the incident on a particular street. The Parcel information can be viewed by clicking a button on the RespondWare main tool bar. Land parcels are highlighted as a site of an emergency during an incident. When available, the house address for the parcel is used to determine the location of the incident on a particular street. In addition, hydrant and facility information can be represented on the parcel map.

Street Management.
RespondWare allows you to add/edit/delete or change the status of your streets. Street status changes constantly, for example, when a street is closed due to construction or a water main break, or perhaps a new street is added to a new sub-division. RespondWare lets you make these additions or status changes. RespondWare Central will automatically update every RespondWare Mobile and adjust all vehicular routing, system-wide- which can improve response times and get you on scene faster.

Hydrants.
The Hydrant Module geo-locates and determines the closest hydrants to the incident. Data specific to each hydrant can be entered in order to provide the first responder with: Distance to Hydrant, Fire Hydrant Type, Connection Type, Static Pressure, Primary Flow, Secondary Flow, Hydrant Number, Status and Hydrant Owner. You can also establish parameters to automatically calculate the total flow capacity of the hydrants within a set distance from the incident.

Tier2 Facilities.
Government issued Tier-2 chemical data is currently distributed in either book or CD-ROM text. This makes the data unmanageable and impractical for field use (for which it was intended). RespondWare's Tier 2 Module identifies all Tier 2 sites within your jurisdiction and displays them on the map. Tier 2 facilities are cross-referenced and GEO-located by the provided address from the reporting entity. The Tier 2 Module also contains detailed information: company name, phone number, address, city, county, state and zip code with the primary and alternate contact person and information. With a click you can reference a list of all chemicals at the site that are catalogued including: location, storage type, average daily amount, the number of days it is typically stored on site and whether it is classified as an Extremely Hazardous Substance.

HospitaLocator.
The HospitaLocator allows you to select from a list of hospitals and emergency medical facilities. Each hospital is listed with their distance from your current location. HospitaLocator dynamically determines the fastest route to a specific medical facility from the real-time location of the responding vehicle. Then, you can either select the closest facility or, in case you are ordered to use a different ER, click on that alternate location for routing. This module also provides you with hospital contact information and any special services that they provide such as trauma, burn, pediatric, or other special units.
